Smoking Cessation Program Now Available for Vytra Members
HIP Health Plan of New York currently partners with Free & Clear, Inc., to provide a comprehensive smoking cessation program, free of charge, to HIP members over the age of 18. We are pleased to announce this self-help program is now available to your Vytra patients as well.
Helping Members Quit for Life™
The Quit for Life™ program is a telephone-based behavioral modification program designed to accommodate individuals regardless of their geographic location or stage in the quitting process. Program participants receive:
- Comprehensive educational materials, based on their stage of readiness to quit.
- Support telephone calls from professional smoking cessation counselors for one year.
- Unlimited telephone access to counselors.
- Reports to primary care providers of members' participation in, or withdrawal from, the program.
- Pharmacotherapy integration and a financial incentive from the Plan for members using Zyban® or the Nicotine patch.
The Program is also available in Spanish and Chinese.
Please encourage your Vytra members in need of a smoking cessation program to enroll. Vytra members may contact the Quit for Life program directly by calling 1-866-QUIT-4-LIFE (1-866-784-8485) between 8 am and 12 midnight, 7 days a week. For hearing or speech-impaired, call 1-877-777-6534.
